The show is set in the coastal town of Outer Banks, North Carolina where there is a significant divide between the wealthy seasonal residents (“Kooks”) and working-class locals (“Pogues”), the show follows along a group of teenage Pogues who are desperate to find out what happened to the missing father of the group’s ringleader, John B as they are chased by a wealthy group of Kooks.
The main cast members consist of Madelyne Cline (Sarah Cameron), Madison Bailey (Kiara “Kie” Carrera), Jonathan Daviss (Pope Heyward), Rudy Pankow (JJ Maybank) and Chase Stokes himself who plays the loyal and caring John B. So, who is the actor behind the main protagonist?

He is a Virgo
Chase Stokes was born on September 16, 1992 in Annapolis, Maryland to Jeff Stokes and Jennifer Canning although his parents would ultimately divorce when Chase was seven months old.
He wanted to be a professional ice hockey player
Chase moved to Canton, Georgia with his mother and then later to Orlando, Florida where he would attend Timber Creek High School. The Outer Banks actor then obtained his bachelor’s degree at Valencia College and would later attend both the University of Central Florida and Seminole State College. According to Netflix Life, Chase dreamt of being a professional hockey player but swapped the aspiration for acting instead.
He was going to be in One Of Us Is Lying
Whilst filming the second season of Outer Banks, it had been announced that Chase would be starring as TJ in One Of Us Is Lying although unfortunately after filming the first episode in 2019 he would not return due to a conflicting schedule with the filming of Outer Banks.
He dated an Outer Banks co-star
In June 2020, both Madelyne Cline who plays Sarah Cameron in Outer Banks and Chase confirmed their relationship in an Instagram post although this relationship did not last long and in October 2021, the pair announced their split.
