The UAE is taking action against the deadly coronavirus

Etisalat users throughout the United Arab Emirates may have been perplexed to find the network provider changed its name to ‘UAE 4 Humanity’, but wonder no more. The change was made to mark the creation of the Humanitarian City where 215 evacuees from regions affected by coronavirus are being housed.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces evacuated individuals from the outbreak’s source – China’s Hubei province – via special aircrafts and is monitoring them within the complex, which is equipped with both indoor and outdoor entertainment facilities.

The Humanitarian City, which took only two days to set up, demonstrates the country’s humanitarian aid and quick thinking during times of crisis. COVID-19 has affected approximately 100,000 people worldwide and the death toll has reached 3,300.
