The Duchess led a roundtable discussion on gender equality at Windsor Castle on Friday

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have proved once again that they are the champions of pioneering social change across the globe. The royal couple attended the One Young World Summit at Windsor Castle on Friday, where Meghan led a feminist discussion, wearing a burgundy leather skirt by Hugo Boss, with ten One Young World ambassadors to discuss gender eqaulity and female empowerment.

While discussing the issues of gender equality at length, the Duchess made a powerful case urging men to get actively involved in the fight for gender equality, noting that, “You can’t have a conversation of women’s empowerment with just women.”

The Duchess explained, “In terms of gender equality, which is something I have championed for quite a long time, I think that conversation can’t happen without men being a part of it.”

Opening up the dialogue to discuss how female empowerment can be advanced elsewhere in the world, Meghan continued, “Our intention today is to try to create somewhat of a task force to see what we can do within our communities, and then use that knowledge to apply it to whatever is happening in all these other communities.”

The Duchess has been a consistent supporter of the One Young World organsiation for many years, having first joined as an official counsellor at the 2014 Summit in Dublin.
