The Queen is looking for a digitally-savvy candidate to for the role of the Head of Digital Engagement of the Royal Household
Let’s face it – when it comes to social media and the art of creating an influential online presence, Queen Elizabeth is up there with the best. Which naturally, of course, means that Her Highness is in need of an expert to help her manage it.
The Queen is officially looking for someone “with experience of managing and editing high profile websites, social media and other digital formats” to help fulfill the role of the Royal Household’s Head of Digital Engagement, the position of which is currently listed on LinkedIn.
Per reports by The New York Times, the starting salary is £50,000, or approximately Dhs244,800, and carries a number of notable perks, including free lunches and a total of 33 allocted vacation days per year.
“It’s about never standing still and finding new ways to maintain The Queen’s presence in the public eye and on the world stage,” the official job advertisement reads. “This is what makes working for the Royal Household exceptional.”
Buckingham Palace describes the ideal candidiate as someone who is “an expert in your field, looking for a new environment and challenge for the next step in your career… the role of Royal Communications is to engage a worldwide audience with the public role and work of The Royal Family.”
The description continues: “Whether you’re covering a State Visit, award ceremony or Royal engagement, you’ll make sure our digital channels consistently spark interest and reach a range of audiences.”
