Queen Rania Shares Heartwarming Pictures As Her Daughter Graduates
“It feels like just yesterday that you took your first steps, said your first word, left for your first day at school.”
Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan places a lot of emphasis on education, campaigning for the rights of underprivileged children, so it comes as little surprise that she was bursting with pride at her own daughter’s high school graduation.
Sharing a series of images on her Instagram showing mother and daughter getting ready for the ceremony, Queen Rania wrote: “Will always treasure these moments #Love #Jordan #LoveJO.”
Princess Salma graduated from International Academy Amman (IAA) in Jordan, and is the third of Queen Rania and King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein’s four children – the couple are also parents to Crown Prince Hussein, Princess Iman, and Prince Hashem. In fact, Crown Prince Hussein was on-stage during the graduation ceremony, sharing a fun handshake to congratulate his sibling.
Queen Rania also shared a family photograph showing the proud parents smiling alongside their daughter.
And it seems that Her Majesty has been anticipating this day for some time. A few days before the ceremony she posted a throwback picture on Instagram, showing a young Princess Salma in her early years of education.
“It feels like just yesterday that you took your first steps, said your first word, left for your first day at school… This week, you graduate, but you will always be my precious little Salma,” she wrote.
The posts have attracted thousands of comments from well-wishers, keen to congratulate the family on a very special day.
