Stranger Things 4
A Netflix blockbuster, the sci-fi TV show set between the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana and the Upside Down, took the world by storm in 2016 and has created a loyal fanbase since. Part 1 of the newest season was released in early June and Part 2 on July 1, making this the perfect time to binge watch the show that everyone is talking about with no guilt.

At the risk of giving too much away, WandaVision takes escapism and trauma response and picturises it in a uniquely Marvel way. Set in the aftermath of Avengers: End Game the dystopic show has everything from humour to exploring the complexities that come with dealing with loss.

Despite its focus on the Marvel Multiverse, What If…?, is a great watch for anyone fascinated by the idea of alternate timelines co-existing. Another extension of Avengers: Endgame, the show focuses on the fragility of time and reality, highlighting the consequences of disrupting space-time.

The Boys
What happens when superheroes are not quite the righteous knights in shining armour we believe them to be? When the power gets to their head and exposes their true nature? The Boys follows a group CIA black ops who try to bring down the Seven – an elite superhero team spearheaded by an American company. The show steers away from the default classic godly narrative that surrounds superheroes and instead explores the white saviour complex and egoism within The Seven – a group of superheroes that comes from capitalising on a position of superiority.

Time jumps, superpowers, an alternate reality and the fate of life on earth in question, The Umbrella Academy’s latest season is nothing short of drama, adventure and humour as the six surviving supernatural siblings work to stop a global apocalypse.

House of the Dragon
Find yourself back in Westeros this summer, only this time 300 years before the events of the Game of Thrones. For the unversed, House of Dragon, is a promise of fantasy, action and adventure as it chronicles the decline of the House of Targaryen, beginning with the “Dance of the Dragons” – the Targaryen civil war that left Westeros in political turmoil.

Peaky Blinders
Cillian Murphy’s Tommy Shelby dons his undercut and baker boy hat for the last time in Peaky Blinders’ series finale. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law
She-Hulk, Marvel’s upcoming superhero will be taking the baton from Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk in the Disney+ series. From fighting legal battles to psychical combat, Jennifer Walters’ day-to-day is unlike any average attorney’s following a blood transfusion gone wrong.

An autobiographical tell all on his Texan upbringing as a Palestinian refugee, Mohammed Amer’s Mois a summer comedy that is sure to humour you. Ramy ‘s Ramy Youssef has co-created the show so expect it to follow in a similar vein to the two-time Primetime Emmy Awards nominee and deal with the intricacies of growing up as a first-generation immigrant in the US.

Koffee with Karan
After a three-year hiatus, none of B-town’s secrets are safe as your Indian cinema favourites are headed back to the small screen for Karan Johar’s seventh season of Koffee with Karan. Rapid Fire, a hamper and lots of spilt coffee, this one’s going to keep you entertained.

Only Murders In The Building
The trio we didn’t know we needed until season one of Only Murders In The Building are back for a second season of their true-crime comedy. Steve Martin, Selena Gomez and Martin Short find themselves in the centre of yet another murder after trying to decipher the first on their podcast in season one.

Westworld
In an increasingly tech-dominated world, Westworld’s dystopic take on the relationship between society and technology has never been more relevant. The neo-Western sci-fi show is based on the 1973 novel by Michael Crichton and is set in the fictional, technologically advanced Wild-West themed amusement park, Westworld where the affluent guests can live out their wildest fantasies without any repercussions from the hosts who are programmed not to harm the humans. The recent season has moved into the mid-21st century with a focus on AI. With 9 Primetime Emmy Awards, Westworld is a must watch.
