Hande Erçel To Star Alongside Barış Arduç in New Film
She’s making her return to the screen after all her success in Love is in the Air
The Turkish Film industry has taken the Middle East by storm ever since the release of the dubbed version of Gümüs, better known as Nour, in the region in 2008. According to Variety Magazine when the finale version aired, it garnered 85 million.
Since then, the region has welcomed various films and television shows and, with the help of Netflix, more films have been produced and even dubbed in various languages due to its worldwide popularity.
Actors Hande Erçel and Barış Arduç have become household names after their leading roles for Aşk Laftan Anlamaz (Love Doesn’t Understand Words) and Kiralık Aşk (Love For Rent) respectively, the latter now has an Arabic adaptation.
Hande Erçel To Star Alongside Barış Arduç in Upcoming Film
Currently the film, Rüzgara Bırak (Leave It To The Wind) is in post-production, and the official Instagram account for the film has already accumulated almost 40k followers since it first posted a series of photos of the leading stars back in June. The cast were reading through the script alongside script writer Ceylan Naz and director Engin Erden.
The film is produced by Lanistar Media and Royal Pictures and was filmed around Turkey starting in Istanbul and continuing its way to Urla, Çeşme, and Alaçatı.
The film’s plot revolves around Ege Yazıcı (played by Barış) and Aslı Mansoy (played by Hande), who are both heirs of the Yazman Group of Companies. Ege lives in Çeşme whereas Aslı is a city girl, most likely living in Istanbul, and have to work together for the future of their failing business. They ultimately need to team up to restore the legacy of their company by building a hotel and surf school in Çeşme. Will they be able to achieve their goal, despite their differences? We are going to have to wait a little bit longer for the answers…

The official release date has not been announced yet, however, it seems the film may be premiering sooner than expected…
