Bazaar Arabia shares how audiences based in the UAE and the MENA region at large can tune into the highly-anticipated 96th Oscars show.

The 96th Academy Awards are almost upon us, scheduled to take place on March 10, 2024 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles. Last year’s Oscars ceremony was nothing short of spectacular, with glitz and glamour found in every corner of the red carpet and cinematic excellence reigning supreme. Of course, the standout film of the 2023 show was Everything Everywhere All At Once, sweeping seven trophies including the coveted award for Best Picture.

History was made at the 95th Oscars, with Michelle Yeoh winning the Best Actress award for her spectacular performance in Everything Everywhere All At Once—constituting the first-ever win in the category by an Asian woman. Ke Huy Quan’s emotionally vulnerable acceptance speech in celebration of his Best Supporting Actor win will forever be engrained in our minds and memories, filling us with anticipation as to which sentimental speeches we can look forward to this year. We’re hungry for more history-making moments at the 96th Oscars, and who knows, perhaps an Arab actor or Arabic movie will unexpectedly break all the records this year.
