New Bulgari Documentary Starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas: How To Watch It In The UAE, KSA, And GCC
The Indian actress and film producer takes us through Bulgari’s new luxury hotel in an insightful documentary film
In celebration of its 140th birthday, Bulgari is celebrating with a number of new releases – from its most expensive necklace to date, the Serpenti Aeterna, to its Eternally Reborn campaign taking over iconic landmarks in Rome – the Italian luxury jewellery brand has now debuted a new documentary film.
Titled, An Emperor’s Jewel — The Making of the Bulgari Hotel Roma, the film looks into the creation of the opulent Bulgari hotel Rome, which this week commemorates the one year anniversary of its opening event on June 8 last year.
Produced by Atomic Production and directed by Andrea Rovetta, the documentary stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas, depicting her experience as the hotel’s first guest. In clips, she is seen wearing a significant necklace from the brand’s high jewellery, featuring 149 glistening emerald beads, and an original Roman coin with the Emperor Augustus. The necklace is set in yellow gold and was presented in honour of the hotel’s inauguration.
The film, which began production nearly two years prior to the opening of the hotel, offers a candid look into the intricate work of artisans and creators who helped bring the establishment to life. From the works of glass blowers and weavers, to handcrafted details such painted chinaware, handmade terracotta tiles, and a kaleidoscope of vibrant mosaics, every corner pays tribute to the rich artisanal heritage of Italy.
Back in 2017, Dubai received its own Bulgari hotel in Jumeirah Bay. The sprawling luxury property features 101 rooms, 20 premium hotel villas, and a yacht club.
