With the portals officially open, brave-hearted fans of the 80’s-inspired show submerged themselves into the thrilling mystery that plagues Hawkins, Indiana – Upside Down – at Riyadh Park, Al Nakheel Mall, Mall of Arabia and Red Sea Mall.
Another fissure into the Upside Down was spotted by a group of influencers at the Elephant Rock in AlUla after hearing a series of strange sounds and being blinded by the lights coming from the rockface. Not for the faint of heart, the desert-goers fled the scene but managed to document the supernatural phenomena on their phones. Before things could get out of hand, Eleven closed the rift for good.
What is the meaning behind these paranormal incidents?
With the much-anticipated wait for Stranger Things 4 finally coming to an end, Netflix curated an immersive experience for the Saudi fans of the Duffer Brothers’ cult-classic show. Iconic sets and scenes were recreated at JAX District in Riyadh. From the Byers’ living room, which became a staple location of season one, to cautiously navigating through the menacing Upside Down Alley, fans could put themselves in the shoes of the tight-knit, intrepid friend group. The event also gave visitors a chance to grab a slice and sneak a peek at the new Surfer Boy Pizza Parlor set for Season 4.
Volume 1 of the hit Netflix show is set to air on the platform today with Volume 2 slated to release on July 1st.
