The Best Fashion Moments From The Barbie Trailer
If The Shoe Fits…
The opening shot of the trailer shows the titular character walking into the frame wearing a pair of baby pink bedazzled heels atop which rests a pompom in the same colour.

This frame, despite having been released less than a day ago, has already garnered a lot of attention, specifically from those who think that it was a missed opportunity for a designer collaboration. However, many others have come to the production’s defence explaining how Barbie isn’t known for wearing luxury designer fashion but is typically dressed in her own crafted creations.

Gingham Everywhere
This flamingo pink-white ensemble is already a fan-favourite as the stylish doll is seen walking on a pink-sand beach wearing the gingham-print dress along with a matching hat and sea-clam-themed accessories that look straight out of a Barbie Fashion Set. The doll later wears a dress with the same print.

Ken’s Striped Co-ord Set
Starting strong is Ryan Gosling‘s Ken who sports a pink and mint striped shirt and shorts set, exposing his plastic-like abs and topping the look with his signature bleach-blonde cropped hair, a white surfboard and shoes.

Bring on the Bling
Appearing to be performing a dance number alongside the other Barbies, Margot’s Barbie dons a sparkly number with sequin detail that she wears with long, wavy hair and chunky accessories. Who doesn’t love a bedazzled moment?

Bell Bottomed Barbie
The trailer showed us a split-second of a much-awaited ensemble worn by Margot — a vest in bright pink paired with bell-bottom pants in the same tone — behind-the-scenes images from which went viral when photographers captured the actors filming the movie last year.

Barbie’s Beret and Peter Pan Dress
Seated in what looks like a life-size Barbie toy car alongside Ken is Barbie, wearing a Peter Pan collared dress with puff sleeves and a matching beret, accessorising the look with braided hair in a pink ribbon and pearl earrings. Ken, in the same shot, sports a bright pink boiler suit which features the iconic “B” logo all over it.
