The Paris 2024 Olympics is set to make history with its unique opening ceremony on July 26 at 5:45pm GST. For the first time, the ceremony will be held along the Seine River, featuring a parade of 10,500 athletes on boats, making for a breath-taking spectacle. These boats, equipped with cameras, will provide viewers with up-close views of the athletes as they wind their way from east to west through the heart of Paris, culminating at the Trocadéro.

Residents of the GCC region can catch all the live action from the comfort of their homes through BeIN Sports channels. The sporting action begins on July 24 with football, rugby sevens, handball, and archery. Across the games, 329 medal events will take place in 32 sports. The first medal will be awarded in shooting on July 27, and the final medal event, women’s basketball, will occur on August 11.
