Miley Cyrus has just released her new album’s lead single Flowers.
The singer of Midnight Sky has been in the music industry for over twenty years and keeps surprising her fans with her eccentric songs and boundary-breaking music videos; Flowers is just the newest on a list of iconic masterpieces.
Miley released the single on January 13 which also happened to be the birthday of ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.
According to Genius, in the song the singer addresses her marriage with the actor which lasted from 2018-2020. The lyrics indicate that she realised she can be happy —if not even happier — on her own and does not need a man to provide her with the love she deserves. “I can buy myself flowers” as well as “I can love me better than you can” are some of the lyrics in the ode to self-love.

The thirty-year-old will release the rest of her eighth album Endless Summer Vacation on March 10 as she announced on December 31 at the second annual Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party she co-hosted with godmother Dolly Parton.
