How Gaggenau Gave ‘The Art Of Fine Dining’ A Whole New Meaning

Culinary and visual art forms blended into one to create an unforgettable sensorial experience

It’s no secret that Gaggenau has always had an affiliation with the art world, and, most recently, the luxury home-appliances brand hosted an exquisite showcase at the ‘Blank Canvas’ dining experience as a testament to its long-standing love for creativity and experimentation.

Orchestrated in collaboration with culinary star chef Hadrien Villeudieu and celebrated visual artist Kaveh Ahangar, the dinner brought together a variety of VIP guests including famed Emirati designer, Yasmin Al Mulla.

Hadrien and Kaveh ensured their respective art forms – culinary and artistry – converged effortlessly for an immersive experience.

“We talked a little bit about my art and its nature and where it comes from, and then he took that, and he brought it back, and I was totally surprised,” enthuses Kaveh on Hadrien’s culinary expertise. “I was blown away by how he managed to capture this.”

Every course was served alongside an art piece – inspired by Gaggenau’s product design, geometric patterns, and Dubai’s desert landscape – serving as an extension of what was on the plate.

“We really wanted to create something that is out of the blue, and I think we managed to create it together,” expresses Hadrien. “He is an open artist, and I am an open chef, so I think we managed to do it.”

The magical night gradually led to the big reveal of an artistic piece by Kaveh, and concluded with Hadrien’s DIY dessert.

The unique blend of food and art created an experience that was, quite literally, food for thought.
