Joelle Mardinian Welcomes Us Into Her Revamped Kitchen
Lebanese entrepreneur Joelle Mardinian gives Bazaar Interiors a closer look at her revamped kitchen, with distinctive surfaces by the Spanish family-owned Cosentino
With a family of five and an active Instagram following of over 14 million, beauty mogul Joelle Mardinian realised that for her, “A good kitchen design involves a technical part and an aesthetic part.” After using her renovated kitchen for several months, she says, “I think now, my space has a combination of the two aspects.”
Working closely with Tabbaa Kitchens, “The idea was to create a heavy [work] kitchen with an operational space for cooking and storage and a separate external show kitchen, which is an open stylish setting for the family to spend time in, and also serves the purpose of our busy lifestyle with three kids!

Suggested by Tabbaa Kitchens because of its exceptional technical properties, Mardinian selected Dekton by Cosentino for her kitchen countertops, featuring a durable and stylish compact surface. “I wanted the kitchen countertops to be able to take the brunt of day-to-day living and still look fresh,” she explains. Drawn to its heat-resistant qualities, she noticed, “You can put hot pots and dishes on it without worrying about damaging it. It is also stain and scratchresistant and extremely easy to clean and maintain – all
very desirable to have, especially when you have a family with young children and spend at lot of time in the kitchen.”

To look inviting and fresh, her “show” kitchen, sleekly separated by a sliding glass door, features solid wood in both grey and off-white. “I wanted the show kitchen to have a touch of luxury so I chose Dekton Entzo inspired by Calacatta marble,” Mardinian recounts.
“It is a very natural and realistic representation of marble with golden veins, of course without any of the maintenance hassles that come with marble.” Both kitchens use Go systems, with no handles for the cabinets and drawers to achieve the clean, minimalist look. With all materials and furnishings having a warranty of ten years, Mardinian believes, “A kitchen that has been designed carefully and with attention to detail will always be better, in terms of budget, in terms of maintenance and overall durability. I think this is one of the things where an investment goes a long way, especially if this is for your family.” ■ cosentino.com
