There is absolutely no doubt about it. I fall hard. I fall fast. And I fall deep… In love. In friendship. In hope.
I’m an optimist. I also recognise that hope, at times, can come with its fair share of risk taking, but what is life without risk (albeit, intermittently a calculated tip-toe over the edge)? As we move into a sunny new season of joy, I’m excited to experience the pages of my own story unfold, journeying through each fresh chapter with hope in my heart and a fistful of positivity between my fingers.
It’s a theme that weaves its way throughout this issue: from Giving Hope a Helping Hand where Aakanksha Tangri, founder and CEO of inclusive mental health platform, Re:Set, discusses navigating the uncharted waters of parenthood; to Finding The Light, where cover star, Ola Farahat whole-heartedly opens up about her struggle to become a mother, and is now looking to the future with her beautiful daughter, Lily by her side.
The sun is shining and there’s a palpable surge of optimism afoot, I can feel it, ushering in like the salty sea breeze. Ceremoniously revealing itself like a butterfly emerging for the very first time. Perhaps it is the season? Spring, after all, is the perfect time to reset and reflect. As the great John Lennon famously sang, “You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope someday you’ll join us, and the world will live as one.” Penned with the intention to promote peace, but to many ears, Imagine serves as an ode to the power of positivity and the breaking of a new dawn.
Hope means to believe, to desire, to heal and to trust. And it can unconditionally assist us in living the truest version of ourselves. Here’s hoping, anyway! Enjoy the issue…
