Ready For Adventure: A Letter From The Editor | Harper’s Bazaar Arabia Junior A/W21
Nina Catt introduces the latest issue of Bazaar Junior – an issue full of dreams and aspirations. Join us on a magical journey, won’t you?
And here we are. A chapter change. A brand new season.
The first topic of conversation when I meet up with friends of late, is; “What are your travel plans for the rest of the year?” And while I reel off a well-versed list of destinations I’ve been dreaming of, I keep experiencing a pit-of-the-stomach sense of excitement like never before.
Even for the most well-travelled, an overseas vacation now has new meaning, new delight, new privilege. Whether you’re four or 40, taking a trip after what seems like an eternity of restrictions is more momentous than ever, which is why, on page 28, we’ve shone a light on luxurious family getaways that will raise the heart rates of your children a tick or two, for entirely different reasons.
Speaking of travel, we spoke to Ayah Tabari, the dazzling founder of Mochi, who uses her globe-hopping escapades as an endless source of inspiration for her fashion brand. Championing the change to turn fast fashion slow, the Saudi-born entrepreneur reveals how she combines modern creativity with vintage fabrics to observe three key principles; reduce, reuse and recycle. By focusing on these points, Ayah hopes her brand will contribute to the refreshing new wave of conscious consumption, and reduce the impact that fashion has on our planet. Read about her sustainability efforts in The Talking Point on page 20, where we also discuss balancing work life with being a new mother, and take a sneak peek at Mochi’s children’s collection that’s bursting with poetic prints with bohemian backstories.
From Paris to the Maldives, I hope this edition of Bazaar Junior inspires you to take flight and encounter precious moments with your loved ones on a magical journey of new adventure. Enjoy our autumn/winter issue…
