Salama Mohamed: “I May Have A Small Circle of Friends But I Am Thankful That My Circle is Mighty in Love and Strength and Endless Support”

The Peacefull founder reveals how a closest friend dropped everything to support her during difficult times last year

It’s been a challenging few months for Salama Mohamed — but, fortunately, she has the right people by her side, ready to support her at all costs. Just weeks after she confirmed her divorce, the social media star-turned-entrepreneur and mother of two shared a heartfelt post on Instagram lifting up her close friends who were there for her when she needed them the most.

“I rarely come here and share something so private or open my heart but I thought I really have to,” Salama wrote within the caption, giving a shout out to her good friend Maram who travelled from Europe to be by her side.

“I partially owe her a huge percent of my strength you see today! @maramiharamii called me one day (towards the end of last year) and found out that I wasn’t doing too well. She immediately booked a flight and flew all the way from Austria and her visit was supposed to be for only 5 days but she ended up staying nearly a month!”

Salama also talked candidly about dealing with an IBS flare-up and how she struggled to get out of bed, but with Maram’s encouragement she was able to get back on track.

“She saw how devastated I was and took me to the hospital during my IBS flare up and we both laughed about it. It was her mission to get me out of bed and start leaving my house all in baby steps! From going to restaurants to taking my kids out to watch a play.. to even start painting today!”

“I may have a small circle of friends but I am thankful that my circle is mighty in love and strength and endless support. To my Maram I dedicate the woman I am today to you,” she wrote.

Salama Mohamed On Her Divorce from Khalid Al Ameri

In a revealing podcast with Nour Aldin, Salama confirmed the news. When Nour asked directly, “You are now separated, or can I say divorced?” by Nour Salama simply replied, “Divorced.”

This marked the beginning of a candid conversation about her new reality and what it means for her and her family.

Reflecting on the dissolution of her marriage, Salama shared, “It’s not about forgiveness. I totally forgave everything. There are some people I can’t forgive. There are some situations I can’t pass. But with my previous partner, he is the father of my kids. There’s always a connection there.”

The interview was shared days after her former husband and social media star, Khalid seemingly announced his engagement by posting a black and white photograph of himself holding his bride-to-be’s hand.
