Who is Lujane Yacoub, The New Miss Universe Bahrain 2023?
After a dazzling night, 19-year-old Lujane Yacoub from Hamala emerged victorious as she walked down the Miss Universe Bahrain 2023 stage and donned the bejeweled crown of the reigning champion and a title that she will hold on to forever. Bahrainis everywhere are now preparing for Lujane to represent them on the glorious main stage of the 2023 Miss Universe Pageant in El Salvador this November.
This will be Bahrain’s 3rd time competing for the Miss Universe title. Previously, we saw Evlin Abdullah-Khalifa in 2022, and Manar Nadeem Deyani in 2021 represent the country globally.
Who is Lujane Yacoub, The New Miss Universe Bahrain 2023?
This is not the first time that Lujane set foot on the stage of Miss Universe Bahrain.
At the age of 18, Lujane was crowned as the 1st runner up for Miss Universe Bahrain 2022. Lujane returned to the contest a year later, eager to win and represent her country on a prestigious platform.
Lujane has a passion for the Arts and self-expression.
In her early childhood, Lujane was diagnosed with a learning disability and she found comfort in art and different forms of creative expression. Overcoming obstacles, Lujane exceeded all expectations in school and received multiple awards for academic excellence. Besides modelling and dressing up in lavish clothing, Lujane loves to impersonate and cosplay as different characters. Moreover, she has received several awards for her role in theater and often participates in art exhibitions.
Lujane is frequently involved in charity work.
Lujane is the ambassador of the charity organization Smile Train Dubai and volunteers with several Bahraini foundations, teaching arts to children. She started her own initiative called ‘Project Hero’ where visits children with special-needs in costume.
Lujane loves Bahraini culture and would love to share it with the world.
In several interviews for the Miss Universe Bahrain 2023 title, Lujane stated that she adored the cultural and religious diversity of Bahrain. She recommends that tourists visit the Grand Mosque, Gold Souq and The Al Jasra Handicrafts Centre to experience the traditional arts and crafts of the country. Her favourite place to visit is the magical Karzakan Forest and she especially loves its mysterious appeal at night.
Amal Clooney is one of Lujane’s biggest inspiration.
When asked who Lujane would like to have as a celebrity guest for dinner, she responded with Amal Clooney, stating that she looks up to Amal as an empowered Arab woman and appreciates her efforts as a human rights activist. Lujane also admires Amal for her grace and charm.
