
Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah Receives Condolences from Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak and Sheikha Moza bint Nasser on the Passing of Her Majesty’s Father
HM Queen Rania mourns the passing of her father
Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah shared the heart-breaking news of father’s passing on Friday, 27 May with a touching tribute to him on Instagram.
Dr. Faisal Sidqi Al Yassin was born and raised in the Palestinian city of Tulkarm in 1934 before attending Cairo University to study medicine, eventually specialising in surgery and paediatrics. In 1961, he began working at the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health and, not long after, he opened his own clinic.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II also posted a heartfelt photo on his Instagram with the caption, “We knew you as a kind, loving, and magnanimous grandfather. May God Almighty rest your soul in eternal peace.”
Several members of royal courts around the region have extended their condolences to Her Majesty.
Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Al Ketbi, known as the Mother of the UAE and third wife of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, conveyed her sympathy to Her Majesty in the wake of her devastating loss. The Sheikha “prayed to Allah Almighty to bless the soul of her father,” she shared on her website.
Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser Al-Missned who was visiting Jordan expressed her deepest condolences to Her Majesty, offering her prayers for his soul to rest in peace and asking God to give the family strength and patience during this difficult time.
His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan declared seven days of mourning starting last Friday.
