King Abdullah II And Queen Rania Celebrate Jordan’s 76th Independence Day

Festivities in honour of Jordan’s 76th Independence Day were held at Al Husseiniya Palace in Amman yesterday under the presence of His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan. The ceremony was attended by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, members of the Royal family, senior officials and officers, and members of the diplomatic corps.

Queen Rania shared a series of photos on Instagram from the celebrations and captioned her post with a touching message, “God bless our country and its people. From today’s celebration of Jordan’s 76th Independence Day.” The historic day commemorates the strength and determination of Jordanians, both past and present.

Her Majesty attended the prestigious ceremony wearing a traditional jalabiya embellished with colourful embroidery, matching pumps, and a mini triangular lilac bag by brand Lyn, an elegant ensemble perfect for the occasion.

Highlights from the prestigious ceremony included His Majesty King Abdullah II presenting Royal medals to several respected Jordanian institutions and individuals in recognition of their hard work for the country and its people.

The evening also touched upon Jordan’s modernisation drive and its progress towards successfully moving forward on the political, economic, and administrative tracks.

The Independence Day events will last for three days starting from yesterday, May 25, 2022. The celebrations will include national folk and artistic performances, fireworks across the country and air shows by the Royal Jordanian Falcons and Royal Jordanian Air Force.
