King Abdullah II and Queen Rania’s Royal Wedding
Queen Rania, and Jordan’s King Abdullah II tied the knot on June 10 in 1993.
Queen Rania and King Abdullah II exchanged their vows at Zahran Palace in 1993 following the traditional steps of Jordanian wedding.
From her first public outings, Queen, Rania has been regarded as one of the most fashionable women of her time. In 1993, for the wedding Queen Rania wore a gown designed by Bruce Oldfield, one of Princess Diana’s favored British designers.
As a part of royal tradition, the newly-weds were expected to tour in the streets of Amman in a car, greeting and sharing their happiness with the nation.
