Everything Meghan Markle Wore On Her Trip To Nigeria
For a visit to the Lightway Academy in Abuja, Nigeria, on May 10, Meghan wore a tan-coloured maxi-dress by California-based label, Heidi Merrick. Titled the Windsor Gown, the dress paid tribute to the British royal family, and features a drop waist with cut-outs on the side. She paired the look with delicate gold jewellery, including a necklace similar to the one worn by Princess Diana on her trip to Nigeria in 1990. She also donned a traditional beaded neckpiece.

During a trip to the Defence Headquarters in Abuja, Meghan and Harry sported co-ordinating looks while wearing the national colours of Nigeria. Meghan donned a sleek white suit by Altuzarra while Harry looked dapper in a teal tuxedo. The Duchess of Sussex paired her look with tan-coloured pumps and a floral corsage.

Meghan looked radiant in a canary yellow gown for a reception at the State Governor House in Lagos on May 12. Designed by Carolina Herrera, Meghan has worn the dress on numerous occasions, including for Prince Archie’s first birthday celebration, and during her pregnancy announcement with Princess Lilibet in 2021. The floor-length column dress was elegant and simple.

Speaking at a Women’s Leadership panel during her trip, Meghan donned Nigerian designer, Orire, wearing a striking red gown with large ruffles and spaghetti straps. She paired the look with nude heels from Aquazzura.

Meghan looked cool during a charity polo match wearing an asymmetrical gown by Johanna Oritz. The floral dress was paired with a matching neck scarf that she draped over her shoulders.

Attending a reception for Nigeria Unconquered, Meghan wore a simple, strapless column gown by St Agni. She paired the look with a cross pendant necklace that reportedly belonged to Princess Diana.
