Her Highness Sheikha Mahra certainly has perfected her signature beauty look.
Whether she’s presenting an award at Distinctive International Arab Festivals Awards (DIAFA); attending an event as the guest of honour; or graduating from university she rarely strays from a smokey eye, matte skin and nude-pink lips when out in public. Like many Emirati women, self-care is clearly a priority for Her Highness and this extends to her hair, skincare and make-up.
Full-on glam certainly suits Her Highness, as do her intricate hairstyles and dramatic eyes. While she often opts to wear her hair in loose, long waves Sheikha Mahra certainly isn’t afraid to experiment with her look, switching up her hairstyles or playing around with coloured eye shadows.

No look is complete without winged eyeliner for Sheikha Mahra. Her Highness is rarely spotted without some kind of dramatic flick, drawing attention to her eyes through the power of carefully placed liner. Here, she’s opted to wear her hair up, finishing the look off with a soft, matte pink lip.
Mauve Moments
Lush lashes and a violet abaya complement the cool, pink-toned lip Sheikha Mahra wore at a recent ICONS exhibition event here in Dubai.
Shimmering Nights
A bit of highlighter on the eyelid is always a good idea. At last year’s Dubai World Cup Sheikha Mahra wore a pearlescent abaya with embroidered sleeves, her hair styled in loose, natural waves with full brows and matte skin. Still sporting her signature smokey eye it appears a lighter shade of eyeshadow or highlighter was dabbed on the lid to create a reflective, eye-opening effect; a swipe of creamy nude lipstick completes the look.
