UAE residents rejoice as new visa rules and processes to travel to the EU have just come in, and it’s much quicker and easier than before, which can only mean one thing, more trips to our favourite destinations.

The Parliament of the EU mentions in a report by Schengen Visa Info that a new online application will be implemented that aims to speed up the processing time, making it much easier for travellers to visit EU countries from the UAE.

Additionally a statement by the EU Parliament mentions the reason behind this change, “By digitalising the visa application process for the Schengen area, the proposal aims to reduce the costs and efforts required to make an application, while ensuring harmonious practises throughout Europe and improving its security.“

According to Arabian Business, individuals classified as UAE residents can apply for and receive a Schengen visa digitally through a new and improved online link.
