What To Do In Dubai This Summer

Jessica Michault, Deputy Editor,

Our Deputy Editor, Jessica Michault’s top summer activity includes an action-packed day at Ski Dubai, where she spends some time in the snow park followed by an adventurous skiing session. Additionally, Jessica opts for a relaxing trip to the Extra Hour Spa located at the popular 25Hotels Hotel, where she unwinds and spends some time enjoying her favourite treatments. And lastly, her third go-to activity for the season includes visiting one of her favourite restaurants in town, Senor Pico, with her loved ones. Located in Palm West Beach, this famous franchise has some of the most authentic Mexican food in the city, making this a must-visit for everyone.

Laura Kell, Digital Editor

While she typically skips town for cooler destinations, Laura anticipates she’ll be spending more time in Dubai during the hotter months this year. Her secrets to beating the heat? Taking to the water in the early hours of the morning. If she’s not planning a scuba diving staycation in Fujairah, she’s up at 7:00am paddling around the Palm Jumeirah or within the Ajman mangroves. And as for indoor activities, there’s no better time to peruse the up-and-coming vintage scene; Laura plans to spend her free days browsing through the racks of Reem’s Closet, La Brocante and Les Spot for unique pieces to add to her wardrobe and home.

Nour Bou Ezz, Fashion Editor

Fashion Editor Nour Bou Ezz shares her top activities to do in Dubai this summer. She mentions, “I love the beach and sun. My current favourite spot is San Beach, a super chic minimal space with the best beverages, great Mediterranean food, and a glistening infinity pool with the best DJs worldwide. Secondly, If I want to escape the heat any night of the week, I will visit salmon Guru, a creative, eclectic, bold, and fun spot in Business Bay. My favourite dish to try is the wagyu carpaccio; it’s topped with edible flowers and presented as a smoke bomb dish, truly divine. On top of everything, you won’t put your phone down as everything is Instagrammable, especially the custom glassware. And the last thing I would recommend is Dubai’s green planet. A hidden gem in the city and has an array of unique experiences like an indoor rain forest, a guided scavenger hunt, and much more.”

Laura Jane Brown, Fashion Editor

Bazaar Arabia’s Fashion Editor Laura Jane Brown’s top picks include visiting the Jameel Arts Centre, followed by a fun pottery class at Oka. The Al Quoz studio has an array of classes to choose from, making it a fun way to escape Dubai’s heat. Another great summer activity to do with friends and family are Escape Rooms. She mentions, “They bring out your competitive side and also are a brain stimulation activity. Green Plant is another exciting place to visit. I heard on the radio they are starting sleepovers within the rainforest, something I would love to try this summer. “

Ayesha Sohail, Interiors Editor

Ayesha’s go-to summer activity list includes a visit to SĀN Beach, where she unwinds and relaxes by the Arabian sea. Another activity added to the list is the immersive digital art museum, Infinity des Lumières. Located in Downtown Dubai, the summer exhibition pays homage to Dubai DATA, an AI-created masterpiece seeking to redefine the future of art. And lastly, Ayesha heads to the Jiva Spa in Taj Exotica Resort, Palm Jumeirah, for a 60-minute session of ‘Abhilaya’ yoga, designed to relax and harmonise disturbed body rhythms, eliminate body aches, and restore sleep.

Anahita Ghai, Digital & Editorial Assistant

Bazaar Arabia’s Anahita Ghai shares her favourite spots to visit during the summer months. “I would highly recommend visiting the wellness centre and cafe SEVA Experience for a relaxing, sound healing session. Another great way to beat the heat is visiting the Sketch Art Cafe & Studio in Jumeirah. The super cute spot is the perfect place to spend some time sketching, painting, and spending quality time with your loved ones. In addition, my mom and I have a mother-daughter date every Sunday morning, where we catch up on what’s happening while enjoying some doodling. And lastly, if you’re in the mood to do something more adventurous, Roll DXB is a lot of fun. The disco roller skating session is basically a party.”
