Everything You Need To Know About The Dubai Mall and Mall of The Emirates Reopening

Earlier this week a document was released containing the guidelines and protocols of the reopening of Dubai shopping malls.

Retailers were told to stay on ‘stand-by’ for the sooner than anticipated reopening.

As of today the Mall of the Emirates has partially re-opened and The Dubai Mall is scheduled to open tomorrow, on April 28.

While this is excellent news for many shoppers, it’s vital that visitors are aware of the measures put into place for everyone’s safety and health.

Dubai Media Office shared an Instagram story with all the information shoppers need to know before visiting a mall. All malls across Dubai will be open from 12:00 until 22:00, with only 25 percent of parking lot capacity available to shoppers. Tourist attractions and cinemas will remain closed.

Malls will operate at a maximum capacity of 30 percent, and wearing a mask will be mandatory for all shoppers and staff. Additionally, temperatures will be checked at the entrance and anyone over the age of 60 or between the ages of 3-12 will not be allowed to enter.

Hand sanitisers will be placed across the mall and all changing rooms, games rooms, cinemas and entertainment centers will remain closed. Shoppers will be urged to pay through contactless payment in order to avoid cash transactions. A no return or exchange policy will be applied unless the product is damaged from the manufacturers side.
