Inside Christian Dior’s Designer of Dreams Exhibition In Riyadh
From Karen Wazen to Tuba Büyüküstün, friends of the brand made their way to KSA to view the prestigious exhibit
The allure of Christian Dior, one of fashion’s most iconic names, has arrived in Riyadh. As part of Riyadh Season 2024, the Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams exhibition is now on display at the National Museum of Saudi Arabia.
From November 21, 2024, to April 2, 2025, this captivating showcase invites visitors into the world of Dior, celebrating the brand’s storied history, creative vision, and the legacy left by its founder, Christian Dior.
First unveiled at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the Designer of Dreams exhibition has since travelled to global capitals, enchanting fashion lovers with its dazzling array of couture, accessories, and archival pieces. This Riyadh iteration brings the magic of Dior to the heart of the Middle East, offering an immersive journey through the designer’s life and his profound influence on the fashion world. The exhibition traces Dior’s origins, from his early years as an art dealer to the founding of his legendary fashion house in 1946.
The exhibit’s curated presentation extends beyond just garments. Visitors can experience Dior’s fascination with art, travel, and nature through the lens of fashion, with displays that highlight collaborations with famous artists, the designer’s muse-driven creations, and the inspirations behind the collections that have defined eras of style. Additionally, Dior’s strong connection to royalty and high society is explored, featuring dresses worn by queens, princesses, and stars of the screen.
The event’s opening in Riyadh was a glittering affair, attracting a star-studded guest list of celebrities, influencers, and friends of the brand. Among the attendees were renowned fashion figures including Lebanese influencer Karen Wazen, prominent Saudi influencer Yara Al Namah, Leenah AlBakr, and others. Additionally, Turkish actress Tuba Büyüküstün, famed for her poise and elegance, also graced the event, embodying the timeless appeal of the brand.
