Karl Lagerfeld, Burbery, Chanel, Prada And 30 Other Brands Come Together To Sign A Sustainability Fashion Pact
These leading luxury brands are aiming to stop global warming, restore biodiversity and protect the oceans
Adidas, Burberry, Chanel, Galeries Lafayette, Gap Inc., Giorgio Armani, H&M Group, Hermès, Inditex, Karl Lagerfeld, Kering, Matchesfashion.com, Moncler, Nike, Nordstrom, Prada Group, Puma, Ralph Lauren, Salvatore Ferragamo, and Stella McCartney are just some of the 32 brands who have signed the Fashion Fact after this weekend’s G7 summit at Biarritz.
The sustainability initiative was actioned by French president Emmanuel Macron, who set François-Henri Pinault, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kering, the task of bringing together the leading players in fashion and textile, to focus on safeguarding the planet.
Fashion Pact’s three key action points are: to stop global warming, restore biodiversity and protect the oceans. It is a first-of-its-kind initiative that’s uniting the biggest names in fashion, many of which are usually competitors.
