Exclusive: Nathalie Trad’s Paris Fashion Week Diary | Day Three
The Dubai-based handbag designer is sharing her Paris Fashion Week experience exclusively with Bazaar
There is no such thing as easy like Sunday morning during Paris Fashion Week. I started my day before everyone awoke, a little bit earlier than usual with a promenade through a somewhat still and sleepy Paris, taking in the fresh air and enjoying the beautiful blue skies. It truly was the best form of meditation before the hectic day ahead at the showroom. Morning walks like these remind me of my student days in Paris during fashion school where I would enjoy wandering through this incredible city, discovering all its hidden treasures.

The first order of business is a much-needed catch up with the amazing Katrina Judd, the founder of In Addition London. Being in Paris at the same time is the perfect opportunity to talk about projects, strategise and concoct new and exciting things!
The rest of the day was filled with press presentations and buyer appointments. It is always great to meet people from all corners of the world in one place. I love discovering new cultures, new faces and perspectives. Today’s surprise visitors were my friends and the amazingly talented duo behind Taller Marmo, Riccardo and Yago. I showed them my collection and got to discover theirs, I want to wear every single one of the pieces from their S/S17 collection.
I made it a point to take advantage of our superb showroom location on 21 Rue du Mont Thabor right by the Place Vendome to take a moment to step out for the first time this week, for a quick lunch catching glimpses of the outside world, some street style and everyone rushing around to the shows.

It so happens that the incredible Parisian architecture is the perfect backdrop for an instagram shot of our latest shoe collaboration with the inimitable Rupert Sanderson. I am so excited to share the outcome with my followers!

We wrapped the day up at 7pm and I headed straight to dinner with my girls at Caviar Kaspia. Happiness and fun guaranteed.
