Maje Just Dropped Their First Sustainable Collection
And we’re totally here for it
Global fashion search platform Lyst reports 13 searches per second for denim, making it the third most-searched item worldwide after sneakers and dresses. But as an item of clothing that requires 2,900 gallons of water (the equivalent of 70 bathtubs full), it’s a wonder that more isn’t being said around the environmental impact these garments have on the planet.
But here to take a sustainable stance, Parisian fashion brand Maje has launched their first-ever eco-friendly collection, comprised of all denim. First Stone is a seven-piece capsule collection made using Jeanologia technology, a technique that reduces water consumption by 95 per cent.
Today, at an exclusive event in collaboration with Maje as part of the Bazaar Capsule together with Mall of the Emirates, we gave Dubai’s discerning shoppers a sneak peek at the new collection.
BAZAAR’s favourite piece includes the denim collared shirt dress that masquerades as a two piece but is actually an all-in-one. Style it up by tying a scarf on the belt ring to add a pop of colour. We’ll be wearing with knee-high boots in winter and white sneakers come summertime.
