Okhtein Has Just Launched A New Line of Sunglasses

Just in time for the summer, the new line of shades will come in four different styles and in eleven different colours.

Launching eyewear is clearly the next progression in Okhtein journey as a brand.

The famous Egyptian handbag line, created by sisters Mounaz and Aya Abdelraouf (and loved by many A-Lister, such as Beyonce and Egypt’s first lady, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi), is setting the pace when it comes to promoting Egyptian artisan and bringing luxury back to their home country, as well as drawing global attention from an international client base.

All of the brand’s products have a unique attribution with deep cultural associations to the owners, blending vintage style with modern aesthetics. The launch campaign conveys extreme versatility and is inspired by the 80’s.

Their signature bestseller handbag ‘Brass Minaudière,’ has influenced Okhtein’s eyewear collection, with standout lenses showcasing their brass and flower motifs. The red-tinted shades, ‘Palmette Heat,’ styled by Ugo Mozie, were featured on Columbian singer Maluma in a recent Balmain campaign; channeling detailed engraving of their iconic palmette around the frame, the design is a nod to the classic brass handbags.

The sunglasses range from Dhs900 to Dhs2000, are made in Italy and will be available for purchase on their website.
