Lyst Report: The Most Popular Luxury Brands Of 2024 (Q1)
From Alaia’s ballet flats to Miu’s Miu’s collaboration with New Balance, these are the most coveted luxury items amongst the global sartorial set
A new report by fashion technology company, Lyst, has revealed the most popular luxury brands and items for 2024’s Q1 period.
The highly-anticipated quarterly index takes into account users shopping behaviour, online searches, sales, and product views that occur on the company’s e-commerce app. It also looks into social media mentions, activity, and engagement statistics for each brand worldwide, over a three month period.
So far this year, Miuccia Prada reigns supreme with Miu Miu claiming the top spot of the world’s most coveted luxury brand, followed by elder sister Prada coming in at number two.
Previously named Brand of the Year in 2022 and 2023, Miu Miu’s prevailing influence in the fashion sphere has once again been reaffirmed, with its swim briefs, polo shirt, and sneaker collaboration with New Balance also making the list of the shopping platform’s most popular products during the Q1 period.
Other notable mentions on the list include Valentino, which garnered much attention online when it was announced that designer Alessandro Michele would be replacing Pierpaolo Piccioli as creative director, as well as the house of Alaia, which dressed Zendaya, Kylie Jenner, and Ariana Grande for high profile events, while its crystal-embellished ballet flats took the number 4 spot on the list of top luxury items.
Also featured on the list is Kim Kardashian’s Skims, the Hailey Bieber-backed Saint Laurent, Gucci, Burberry, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s The Row.
