Showing off your finest traditional attire is one of the best ways to show pride on a national holiday and these influencers are doing exactly that to mark Saudi Founding Day

Here are some of the most stylish looks that regional content creators and media personalities have shared to celebrate the occasion, which commemorates the founding of the first Saudi state in Arabia.

Lojain Omran

The Saudi Arabian television presenter and reality star, who is also part of the Dubai Bling cast, posted a picture on Instagram donning what looks like a bright green jalabiya and headscarf. 

Often seen speaking about her Saudi background, the television host congratulated the leaders of the kingdom on the occasion. “A day of pride, honour, and dignity. A day that reminds us of our history and reinforces our belonging, patriotism, and identity, which we are always proud of wherever we are,” she wrote in the caption. 

Dalia Mubarak

One of the most prominent new generation singers to come out of the kingdom, Dalia Mubarak also took to Instagram to talk about her Saudi heritage. Hailing from the town of Bisha, located in the Asir province, in the southwest of the country, the artist wore attire specific to her region.

Abeer Sinder

This Saudi content creator used the occasion to highlight her Hijazi background in the most creative way. In a series of posts, Abeer Sinder shared a traditional depiction of a household, complete with nostalgic décor.

Her husband and kids were also part of the photoshoot – talk about making it a fun family affair. She wore a beautiful embroidered white garment, called darfat al bab, which translates to “the main part of the door”. This is because the dress is very heavy and has decoration on both its front and back.

Daria Sots

Providing a first-hand look into expat life in the kingdom, Daria Sots is based in Riyadh. The content creator celebrated the occasion in Saudi Arabia’s capital and shared a picture sporting traditional attire, asking her followers to guess which exact region the clothes belong to.

Karina Rybko

Another expat based in Riyadh, Karina Rybko immersed herself in Saudi culture as Founding Day weekend hit. Her first stop was one of the oldest traditional markets in the Saudi capital – Souq Taibah. Posing in a green and golden jalabiya, she shared all the cultural clothes, jewellery, and patriotic decorations being sold at the stalls.

Model Roz

Rawan Abdullah Abu Zaid, better known as Model Roz, posted a series of pictures and a video of herself carrying a sword, riding a horse, and sporting traditional attire, as well as jewellery and make-up to match.

“I would like to express my gratitude to our leaders for their amazing dedication and hard work in making our country among the ranks of great nations,” the 31-year-old wrote.

Sausan AlKadi

Saudi Arabian fashion blogger and stylist, Sausan AlKadi, dressed in a head-to-toe traditional maroon look, paying tribute to Ghaliyya Al Bogammiah, a strong female figure who had a significant impact on Saudi history.

Mahdi Baghdadi

Dressed in a tradition bisht worn over a thobe and a headdress to complete the look, Mahdi Baghdadi marked the occasion by posting a picture on his Instagram feed. In the caption, he highlighted the achievements of the leadership of the kingdom.

Nora Aljabr

Saudi Arabia’s first certified mounted archery trainer, Nora Aljabr, who’s known for promoting the kingdom’s culture and heritage through sports and style, shared posts to express her pride towards her nation. Posing in the desert , surrounded by camels, Saudi Arabia’s national animal, the Dammam-resident was dressed in a beautiful black abaya, paired with a antique silver headpiece.

Nada Baeshen

Saudi television host and fashionista, Nada Baeshen, posed in a traditional black and gold ensemble by Heba Alqurashi, a label produced in the kingdom. She captioned the Instagram post: “We represent a [sic] strong, independent, powerful and a women of grace. These are the women of Saudi.”

Daim Gaw

The lifestyle influencer chose to wear a long, white piece with embroidery and crystal detailing on the neckline. Sharing multiple pictures from the photoshoot, in one of the shots Daim Gaw is seen posing with a horse. In the caption, she talked about Saudi Arabia’s rich history.
