What Lies Beneath: La Perla A/W15

The luxury lingerie brand reveals a new look for its Arabian flagship, and Bazaar goes behind the scenes of its first runway collection to celebrate…

Italian lingerie label La Perla is celebrating an important step in its retail journey this season, as its boutique in The Dubai Mall becomes the first directly operated flagship; boasting a beautiful new identity in the shape of a creative concept entrusted to the architect Roberto Baciocchi, who took his inspiration from great architecture from his homeland… Think great arches with a contemporary gloss, pink onyx facades and Art Deco elements.

La Perla’s revived boutique at the Dubai Mall 

The boutique is home to the label’s ultra-chic Atelier Collection, which showed earlier this year on the couture circuit, and too inspiration from the company’s heritage to create “refined garments capable of creating a total couture look to be worn beyond the confines of private life.” Devised by the La Perla style team, led by Emiliano Rinaldi, the collection focuses on light and sheer fabrics and “unexpected details”, first seen on the runway staged at the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild.
