Mulberry Just Launched Its First-Ever Sustainable Leather Handbag
A tote made of a gold standard eco-leather and recycled thread
Another fashion brand taking more steps to becoming sustainable is British luxury label Mulberry. The brand has just launched its cutting-edge Portobello Tote, which is made from 100 per cent eco-leather and stitched with a recycled polyester fibre thread known as Epic EcoVerde.
The Portobello Tote release is part of the brand’s commitment to creating a sustainable legacy by taking care of every aspect of production, from the design to sourcing, and manufacturing. Mulberry’s CEO, Thierry Andretta, states, “Through our Mulberry Green responsibility commitments, we are continuing our innovative approach towards design and manufacturing in a conscientious way, ensuring we will provide truly luxury, truly responsible products for our customers”.
In line with their environment commitment, the brand has decided to donate a 100 per cent of proceeds made from the bag to the World Land Trust conservation charity.
The Portobello Tote has been crafted in seven different shades, some of which have already sold out. They are available in store and online for Dhs3,830.
