Nora Maria Attal is a name to remember. At 24 years old, the British-Moroccan model is taking the fashion world by storm, having walked for some of the most prestigious designers and starred in a number of luxury campaigns. She’s also graced countless magazine covers while her off-duty style has developed into a social media phenomenon of its own.
While her success is palpable, her persona has so far been a little bit more discreet, with the model instead allowing her work and professionalism to speak for itself.

Currently in Paris for the final leg of fashion month, Nora’s exquisite appearances on the catwalk has once again ignited an interest in who she is. She is proud of her Moroccan heritage
Born in London to Moroccan parents, Nora is a proud representative of her heritage. She often incorporates the culture into her work, including wearing a traditional Berber ceremonial headpiece on a prominent magazine cover in 2017.
She is also intentional about speaking in her mother tongue when possible, and often converses in Arabic with her friends from back home. Her favourite place in the North African country? She mentions Old Medina in Tangier for the bustling markets and traditional architecture.
She got her big break at age 14 with JW Anderson
Discovered at just 14 years old, Nora always knew she wanted to be a model. She got first modelling gig with photographer Jamie Hawesworth who held a casting call at her school for a JW Anderson campaign. Nora, along with two of her friends were selected – and her career skyrocketed from there.
She was known as the ‘mystery girl’
One of her early breakout rolls came when she starred in a campaign for JW Anderson in which she was dubbed the “mystery girl”, earning attention for her sombre expression and distinctive eyebrows.
She had to juggle school and modelling
During the early days of her career, the model was highly sought-after, and often had to turn down modelling jobs because they clashed with her school schedule. Despite this, she still managed to grace the runways of Valentino and Dior, and is now a regular fixture in the Chanel shows.
She is vocal about humanitarian issues
The model has regularly talked about the challenges faced by immigrants, drawing from her parents’ experiences and the hardships they overcame for her success. She also speaks out about humanitarian and social issues faced by Moroccans.
She got married in 2022 with a dreamy Spanish wedding
Nora got married in 2022 to director and photographer Victor Bastidas. The couple first met at a shoot in Jaipur, India before tying the knot in Formentera, Spain.

She was flourishing at Fashion Week A/W 2024
The young model is now a regular on some of the biggest designer runways. For Fashion Week A/W 2024, she jetted from London to Milan and Paris, walking for the likes of Burberry and Dolce & Gabbana.
