Shopaholics in Saudi, get excited! Amazon has just launched amazon.sa, the newest online store tailored specifically for customers in Saudi Arabia, as it takes over the souq.com domain.
Amazon acquired Souq.com back in 2017 and is now expanding into the Kingdom, redirecting all of its customers - along with their wish lists, orders and information - to the newly launched website. In doing so, it will allow Saudi Arabian customers to purchase just about anything from electronics to apparel, home and kitchen and grocery, from both local and international businesses (including from Amazon US) without having to venture out to a store or search for items across multiple online platforms.
Amazon.sa will be offered in both Arabic and English and on both web or Amazon app.
Customers will also be able to enjoy free next day delivery on orders above SAR200 – or opt for paid same day delivery to select areas of the Kingdom. Additionally, they will be given the option to pay with card or cash on delivery.
What’s more? This acquisition will give Saudi businesses of all sizes opportunities to sell their products on amazon.sa, providing them with access to both clients within the region and Amazon's international customer base.
