Everything That Happened Last Night At The 79th Golden Globes

The Golden Globes took place in a somewhat different way this year. Due to the Omicron variant, the show did not have a red carpet, celebrity presenters and A-List guests. What’s even more surprising is that the show won’t be televised live. However, that doesn’t mean that this year’s Golden Globes wasn’t a fun affair. A number of popular shows and movies, along with our favourite stars, took home awards. 

Here, Bazaar rounds up all of the things that went down at the 2022 Golden Globe awards, from the winners to how to watch the show. 

Here are all the winners that won big last night

According to the National NewsWest Side Story and Power of the Dog won big last night. Additionally, tv shows like Succession also had an eventful night, taking home 3 awards, while Netflix show Squid Game and Apple TV’s Ted Lasso took home 1 award each.

So, where can you watch the show?

According to Harper’s Bazaar US, a television broadcasting company in the US, NBC has decided not to televise the show due to controversy. Hence, rather than televising the show live, the audience will be able to view the ceremony elsewhere at a later date. 

While this year’s award show might seem like a subdued affair, next year’s Golden Globes seems to be the one to look out for since it marks the 80th year of the award show.
