Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah celebrates her birthday tomorrow, August 31, and this year the happy day is an extra special milestone. Jordan is also celebrating the the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty King Abdullah II, which marks the 25th anniversary of him ascending to the throne. The beloved Queen was recognised for her role in advancing Jordanian society and His Majesty spoke warmly of her impact upon the Jordanian people, writing a heartfelt tribute in a public letter addressed to the Queen to mark the occasion.
“Every time I enter a Jordanian village or home, its people ask me to convey to you their greetings and their appreciation for your efforts to develop our country and create a brighter, more hopeful future for our children. I see, in their eyes, love for the wife of their King and the mother of their Crown Prince.”
