Episode One Of Meet The Makers: Market Outside The Box By DSF

We meet one of the rising stars who is making waves in the fashion scene…

An integral part of Dubai Shopping Festival, the annual ‘Etisalat Market Outside The Box’ (MOTB) event is set to host a number of homegrown and international brands, food kiosks and live entertainment.

One of Dubai’s most celebrated bazaars, the concept unites thriving and emerging brands and, in line with DTCM’s mission, MOTB caters to the ever-expanding Gen Z market in the region. By blending retail, experiential dining and entertainment, the buzzing festival is redefining the shopping experience.

Returning for its ninth edition, this year’s MOTB will continue its previous theme of ‘Asian Pop Culture’ with a modern spin, celebrating digital content that stems from Korea and Japan. The bold visual style takes its cue from technological glitches and digital art.

With around 80 brands taking part in this year’s edition, the market will unveil the best of emerging labels in fashion, beauty, jewellery, accessories, home décor, sports and nutrition. Visitors can expect exclusive product and line launches, along with a grand sale on the final weekend.

Below, we meet one of the three emerging designers that are shaking up this year’s MOTB.

Finchitua By Feiruza

It’s no surprise that streetwear brand Finchitua By Feiruza has already won a MEA Markets Award, highlighting its eclectic edge in the market. Famed for colourful, vibrant clothing and their new-wave African culture inspiration, the striking storytelling pieces showcase tradition and history through a contemporary-fashion lens.

In honour of Market Outside The Box, we’ve launched a brand-new series dedicated to emerging talent in the region. Click below to watch episode one of Meet The Makers.
