Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce Are Engaged
The wedding bells we’ve all been waiting for are finally ringing for the pop icon and baseball superstar
After dating for two years, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have announced their engagement on Instagram. Sharing their news in a heartfelt post, the caption read, “Your favourite English teacher and gym teacher are engaged.”
Taylor’s ring finger proudly presented a suitably unique ring for the country star turned global pop icon – an antique style yellow gold band, subtly engraved, set with an elongated cushion cut diamond. U.S. Weekly has reported that the ring was designed by Kindred Lubeck at Artifex Fine in New York City, and the stone may be an original old mine diamond – antique cut gems that are increasingly rare and gleam differently to modern cut diamonds.
In the first hour, the post accrued more than 12 million likes, with ‘Swifties’ commenting in their droves to support the happy couple with their best wishes.
The news comes just days before Taylor is set to release her new album, The Life Of A Showgirl, set to be released on October 3. While Taylor’s wardrobe choices for the new album cover certainly channel its name, Taylor’s outfit in her proposal pictures is far from the razzle dazzle; she’s wearing a simple striped dress by Polo Ralph Lauren and a pair of Louis Vuitton Isola Sandals.
If the proposal is anything to go by, then we should definitely prepare ourselves for a major wedding on the horizon – Swifties? Assemble.
