UAE Storm is Officially Over Says Ministry Of Interior

The UAE authorities have assured residents that civil entities are working tirelessly to manage the situation after Tuesday’s torrential downpour

The intense thunderstorm that hit the UAE on Tuesday, April 16, which brought many aspects of life in the country to a standstill, is officially over, the authorities have announced.

Severe weather conditions have ended and the Emirates is in a state of recuperation after the heavy rainfall, hail, and floods that prevailed across the country.

In an X post, the platform formerly known as Twitter, a UAE government entity wrote: “The Ministry of Interior announces the end of the weather fluctuations and efforts continue to complete the recovery phase.”

They also reassured UAE residents that the authorities are continuously carrying out measures to minimise disruptions and safety of the public is a priority.

“Field work teams from civil defense, ambulance, police, and others will continue their intensive efforts to ensure full recovery and the return of life to normal in all affected areas,” the statement by the Ministry of Interior read.

During the torrential downpours, the UAE was hit by the highest amount of rainfall recorded in the country for 75 years.

As for current weather conditions, the sun is back out with partly cloudy skies in some areas.
