Will there be thunderstorms in Jeddah today? Local authorities have alerted that heavy rain is to be expected and urge people to stay indoors.

Those residing in Jeddah or who have made plans to visit the coastal city are advised to reconsider their plans and stay in their respective homes, as the city is expected to see thunderstorms and heavy rain in addition to torrential rain.

Will There Be Thunderstorms In Jeddah Today?

According to the weather forecasting company weather.com, those in Jeddah can expect to see very windy weather as well as thunderstorms and rain. In addition to this, according to an article made by arabianbusiness.com on December 22 — the Makkah province education department announced that physical classes taking place in Jeddah, Rabigh and Khulais would remain closed due to rainy weather.

Last month, Jeddah was struck with tragedy as residents took to social media to share washed-out roads causing schools and universities within the Makkah province to close. Furthermore, due to such harsh weather, all flights scheduled to and from King Abdulaziz Airport were subsequently delayed.
