Later this month, Abu Dhabi will be hosting one of its most luxurious and opulent cultural demonstrations yet, in its presentation of the highly anticipated emirate-wide exhibition, Flânerie Colbert Abu Dhabi, French Luxury in the 21st Century. Organised by Comité Colbert, a grouping of 84 French luxury fashion houses and 16 cultural institutions, the exhibition will enjoy the presence of a number of household icons - including Parisian luxury maison, Chloé.
The maison will be presenting a series of unique displays and custom installations across the capital, exploring the depth and history of French luxury and its cultural significance in the 21st century. The most notable of such displays, however, is The Louvre Abu Dhabi's ground-breaking exhibition, 10,000 Years of Luxury, where Chloé is currently showcasing its iconic 'Casanova' dress, the timeless creation by the late Karl Lagerfeld.
As part of Flânerie Colbert, Van Cleef & Arpels has also collaborated with Chloé to reveal a stunning custom installation that showcases unique elements related to the exhibition's wider theme, ‘Making Luxury’. In an exceptionally exclusive scenography display that the highlights unparalleled sophstication of the maison over the years, Chloé will reveal the secrets behind the creation of two of it most iconic couture dresses: the ‘Crétoise’ dress from S/S84 and Look 57 from S/S19.
This stunning activation will be on display at the Van Cleef & Arpels boutique at The Galleria Al Maryah Island from November 12 to November 23, 2019.
