The launch lit up Burj Khalifa in its entirety

Last year, global smartphone brand OPPO introduced the Reno Series to Dubai and had us on board with its range of innovative features and super stylish aesthetic. Now, launching 23 October, the OPPO Reno2 Series has taken it up another level with its widespread photography features and quad camera, which supports 5x Hybrid Zoom, Ultra Dark Mode, Ultra Steady Mode and other features. The Ultra Dark Mode feature, using its neural processing unit and AI, can capture elements that are otherwise invisible to the human eye.

And for those with active lifestyles who love a mid-workout selfie every now and then, say goodbye to shaky images. The Ultra Steady Mode, with its super high speed frame rate (60fps), enhances image quality and stabilizes videos to eliminate any blur. The feature allows for high-quality images through a super wide-angle lens mode no matter how fast you're running on the treadmill.

In celebration of the launch of the Reno2 Series, Dubai's Burj Khalifa lit up last week welcoming the game-changing device with an explosive presentation of its new features.

The Reno2 can be admired in five different colours: sunset pink, ocean blue, luminous black, sky white and lake green. The phones embrace a chic curved exterior with the four rear cameras hidden behind the back cover, which has been crafted from durable fifth generation Corning® Gorilla® Glass. To maintain its beauty, the glass has been polished three times using 95mm nano polishing.

For a seamless user experience, the 3D curved glass fits right into your palm while the modern design ensures the camera blends in graciously with the rest of the exterior.

A highlight of the Reno2 is the shark fin pop-up camera which, as the name suggests, pops out from the top of the phone (in a swift 0.8 seconds) and for safety, using built-in sensors, seamlessly slides back in if we’re clumsy and drop the device.

Also of note is the smartphone's 16MP front camera, which allows for ultra-clear backlit shots thanks to its clever design. For those of you who indulge in a bit of gaming underneath your desk at work, the Reno2 features a 6.5-inch AMOLED panoramic screen with 2400x1080 resolution to heighten the experience.

The contemporary smartphone brand has had a presence in the Middle East for almost five years now, perpetually pushing the envelope through design innovation and technology.

We can’t wait to get our hands on this beauty of a smartphone.
