A BAZAAR favourite, Bagatelle has long been on our weekend radar for good food and better times. Now, the restaurant's brand new night allows you to start your weekend 24 hours early with the ultimate #Throwback night of disco music and dancing. An ode to the most decadent era of all, Bagatelle Studio is the Wednesday night addition to your diary that you won’t want to miss.
The focus on Joie de Vivre is evident from the very second you step foot inside the restaurant, with the already impossibly glamorous interiors elevated through raucous additions of ‘70s ornaments and a glittering atmosphere that feels almost physically palpable. Start off the evening with the ‘His and Hers’ cocktails (which taste as good as they’ll look on your Instagram feed), while sampling the outrageously indulgent Pizza à la Truffe Noire.
Both the dining and entertainment don't take long to crank up a notch; a crispy octopus and black lemon aioli main course comes with a side of live performance, courtesy of Marvin Gaye, and a herb roasted rack of lamb is drizzled with the confidence to sing along – loudly. Not even the salted caramel profiteroles can weigh your dancing shoes down, with the only downside being your seriously sore feet the next day.
A sequin-spangled outfit is essential if you don’t want to be out-dressed by the uber-glamorous staff, who in between disco-ball headdresses and kaleidoscope bell-bottoms channel Studio 54 vibes in the chicest of fashions. So far, so amazing, but do be wary – you may find yourself calling into work the next day with a serious case of disco fever…
Studio Bagatelle takes place every Wednesday from 8pm until late, on the 1st floor of The Fairmont Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road.
