Fans of swanky restaurants, sumptuous spas and luxury staycays are in luck: Following three years of renovation works caused by a fire on New Year's Eve in 2015, the Address Downtown Dubai hotel is back in business – and it’s better than ever before. The reopening has brought whole host of divine new eateries. Case in point? BAZAAR’s new favourite lunch spot, The Restaurant.
The venue itself is one of its greatest strengths, spread across a large open terrace and an elegant indoor area that never feels crowded. The stunning, sun-drenched space inside is imbued with a soft colour palette of muted tones of light grey, blues, creams and browns, floor-to-ceiling windows, and unbeatable views of the Dubai Fountains and Burj Khalifa to accompany one’s meal.
Serving a fusion of Anglo-French cuisine, BAZAAR dived right in with a creamy (and very generously-sized portion of) duck foie gras terrine to start. Swimming in a delicious pool of lemon, brown butter, parsley and capers, BAZAAR orders the freshly-caught black cod with a side of roasted root veggies for mains.
In the unlikely event that one hasn’t quickly gotten full from the delicious dishes and sides, The Restaurant also boasts an impressive dessert menu, with classics like Eton Mess, profiteroles, crème brûlé and panacotta on offer.
Not to be confused with Address Boulevard (where you’ll find the second edition of The Restaurant), The Restaurant Address Downtown is the perfect blend of stylish sophistication and unforgettable fine dining.
