Celebrity Favourite Dorchester Hotel Is Coming To Dubai

Dubai Canal is about to get even better

An announcement that another 5-star hotel is coming to Dubai may not seem like big news, but this isn’t any hotel brand. This is the famous Dorchester Collection.

Local developer Omniyat revealed that it is bringing the iconic brand to the banks of Dubai Canal, with a 5-star hotel and residences.

Christopher Cowdray, CEO of Dorchester Collection, said: “This is our first hotel and residence complex in the Middle East and we look forward to bringing our distinct style of hospitality to this region.”

The Dorchester is renowned as one of the most prestigious hotels in the world. Since opening in the 1930s, it has been a favourite of celebrities and royals, including Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, Oprah Winfrey, Lady Gaga and Sir Elton John.

The collection now includes hotels in London, Rome, Beverly Hills and Paris.

And it’s not just the luxurious hotel that we should get excited about. The Dorchester is home to some seriously famous restaurants – Alain Ducasse has a three Michelin star French restaurant in the Mayfair property – so we can expect some big-name eateries to be announced for the Dubai hotel.
