The six-day event will see exclusive talks from Salman Khan, Mohammed Al Turki and Oscar-winner Cuba Gooding Jr.

The Fifth Saudi Film Festival Opened Its Doors This Weekend

The fifth Saudi Film Festival has opened its doors this weekend at the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) in Dhahran. The event kicked off with a red carpet and “an unforgettable night filled with cinema”, according to the festival’s Instagram page.

The six-day event will see a number of screening, seminars, book signings and meets-and-greats with celebrities.

Kicking off the festivities on 24 March is Bollywood icon Salman Khan, who will host a masterclass teaching skills from the cinematic arts, and be interviewed by television personality Raya Abirachid.

Mohammed Al Turki will also be making an appearance at Ithra. The Golden Globe-nominated Saudi Arabian producer will take to the stage to share his filmmaking experiences with audiences.



Oscar-winning Cuba Gooding Jr., known for his performances in critically acclaimed roles in Jerry Maguire, A Few Good Men and American Crime Story will also be delivering a talk on his 30-year career in the film industry.

The event will run until 26 March.
